Ryan is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Kennewick, WA and specializes in working with individuals, couples, and families to work toward wellness and relational satisfaction. He received his Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. His internship was completed at a local free clinic that serves members of the community who do not have insurance.
His work history includes 11 years working with children and adults with Intellectual Disabilities, many with dual diagnosis in mental health. He has worked in various capacities in this field, including direct care, residential, In-home therapy, Case Manager, Program Director, and Mental Health Therapist, in addition to his private practice.
Ryan’s Therapeutic approach is strength based and focuses on success. While individuals, family, and couples come to therapy with issues to resolve, the focus does not stay on ‘problem talk.’ Instead, the focus is on hope, and motivation toward wellness. With couples, interaction patterns are evaluated. His therapeutic experience includes working with anxiety, depression, and many other mental health issues. His experience with couples and families include couples issues such as infidelity, conflict, mental illness, addictions, family transitions, divorce, and parent-child relational issues.
